Hi,

try a repair of the console. Also make sure you've installed this on a supported operating system

Check the BE 2014 SCL below:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH217478

Thanks!

Run a repair of Backup Exec either using the installation DVD or from the control panel - programs & features.

If running an AV, set it to exclude from scanning BE processes.

Is there any error logged in the event viewer ? If yes, can you post that ?

That's supported, so try the repair as I mentioned first and see if this fixes it.

Thanks!

Windows cannot load the extensible counter DLL MSSQL$BKUPEXEC. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the Windows error code.
