When you labeled the new tapes, did you move them to a media set, or leave them in the scratch media set?
If you moved them, they took on all the properties of that media set as of the move. If the media set has a 14 day OPP, then you will not be able to overwrite these tapes for 14 days
Before the nightly job(s) start, inventory the drives/slots if the tapes show in BLUE you should be good to go
If they show in BLACK, then from the Media tab, drag the volumes to the Scratch media set and inventory again
They should be BLUE now
