backup job error

hi there

i have a Qnap with raid 10

 and i tring to backup and every time its faild with this massege 

Storage device "Backups" reported an error on a request to write data to media.

Error reported:
Access is denied.

V-79-57344-34036 - An unknown error has occurred.

The .DR file that is required for Intelligent Disaster Recovery is not updated.

please help

This means that you have a credentials problem. The BESA does not have access to the device. You need to add the BESA as a local admin with full read/write access to the volume. Also you need to update your DNS server to ensure that the are forward and backward paths to the device. If the device can do iSCSI, then it would be easier to connect it this way to the media server

 maybe becuse the qnap is in raid ?

RAID has nothing to do with it. Use iSCSI and you should get around this.

 in the qnap i have a three option

ISCSI Target with mapped lun

ISCSI Target only

ISCSI lun only

which to choose ?

iSCSI LUN only should be it, just check your owner's manual...
