we have a networked drive that has a guest share with full access for everyone which was setup around 18 months ago, and all of a sudden backup exec has decided that the nas drive is low on space so it wont allow me to back up.
the backups are 65GB and there is 400GB free space on the nas. the are for backups isnt locked down to a specific size. i have even deleted 2 of the backup files and tested and it still says low on space. the jobs overwrite.
help?
thanks in advance. gary

Have you tried creating a new B2D folder?
Make sure you have all the Live updates installed and the all alerts in Backup Exec have been responded to.

You are backuping your data to NAS or other disk?

...the OP has alluded to the fact that they're going to disk on the NAS...
Thanks!

Hi Gary,
If you have disk space available on that NAS, and it can do iSCSI, then carve out an iSCSI LUN and present this to your media server. If Windows Server 2008 R2 and up, iSCSI is built in and it works really well...just invoke it on the OS.
For WIndows Server 2003 you need to download a specific iSCSI initiator for that OS.
Once done, create a B2D on that new iSCSI LUN and run your backups to it as a test and see if it gives you the same issue.
Thanks!
