hi guys,

we have 13 BE 2010 R3 SP2 servers one is the CASO server, we would like to upgrade to BE 2012  but the CASO first, after we will upgrade the CASO will all MMS running BE 2010 R3 Sp2 still be online and managabel from CASO or do we have to update them at all time ?

We also need to migrate the Backup Exec database from a 32 Bit OS (Windows 2003SP2-Standard – 32 Bit) to a 64 Bit OS (Windows 2008R2-Standard – 64 Bit). I understood from Technotes, that this migration is not supported from Symantec?

thank you in adv

You can do your migration from 32-bit to 64-bit.  See this document

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH67768

You can also manage your BE 2010 R3 SP2 MMS server.  See page 44 of the SCL below

I can vouch for the fact you can migrate from an x32 OS to x64 having done this on about 15 sites I looked after. I took it from BE 2010 R3 on Windows Server 2003 Standard x32 to BE 2010 R3 on Windows Server 2008 R2. No hassles, and it is doable!

Thanks!
