The behavior could be due to DLM...

To know more about DLM refer to the below Articles.

But in my case, I just setup the BE2014 on April 22 , so I run a full backup on April 22 and diff starting from same day.

Full backup job set to run on every Friday night.

Diff job run from Monday to Thursday.

Now I still have 3 full backup, April 22/April 24/May 1.

Diff backup files also can see the job run on April 22.

In BE console, click on the home button -> Configuration and Settings -> Backup Exec Settings -> Storage.

Make sure the Overwrite protection level is "Partial" and Media overwrite options is set to "Overwrite

recyable media before scratch media"

This setting does not apply to disk storage.

1) What is the retention period set in the jobs?

2) Where are the disk storage located?  Are the disks detachable?

and it is set by default. Any other possible cause make the old bkf cannot be auto deleted? According to my understanding , the full backup files two weeks ago should be deleted on the next day when the full backup on May 1 has completed.

I would suggest that you read the document and my article which is referenced in the first comment carefully to understand what you are dealing with.  You might need to get out some pen and paper to plot out when your backup sets are deleted.
