Hi
i have a very big problem: i want to change the dedup user's password with spauser.exe -c -u<UserName> but i do not know the old password as the guy who set this up is not available any more. is there a chance to get the dedup working again?
i am using Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R2 on a Server 2008 x64 bit system
thanks a lot for your help!!!

Hi,
Have you checked the TN below? Looks like you need to change it in BE first...

Thanks!

ATTENTION: The spauser utility prompts for the previous password before allowing the user to create a new password. It is critical to keep track of this password. If this password is lost, and the password is changed in the matching Backup Exec logon account, it will not be possible to bring this Deduplication folder online again.
The user does not have the previous password...... I am afraid a reinstall will be required.
