We are migrating from BackupExec 12.0 on a 32 bit windows 2003 server to BackupExec 2010 on a 64 bit windows 2008r2 server. Can we use the copy configuration tool since we are copying to a different version?

Also the Operating System version is changing from 2003 to 2008 and OS type is changing from 32 bit to 64.... Backup Exec Copy Configuration is not recommended for these changes as it will give may problems later.

Thanks,

Hello

Refer to the below article.

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH67296

You cannot use the copy configuration option as the version of BE is not the same.
