Hi,

Check the tape and see what sort of compression you are getting with the duplicate job to tape...

Thanks!

Hi criag,

The all jobare not showing less size ,only purticulr jobs that ,can see in the screen short ,we didn’t  make any changes ,we got following errors periviously and get solved using  Osql -E -S <servername>\bkupexec -d bedb cmd.

Error

V-79-57344-33329 - Library - cleaning media was mounted.
V-79-57344-33300 - Library error - source location is empty.

V-79-57344-33332 - Library Error - attempt to clean a drive in a library with expired or bad cleaning media.

Now the duplicate backup size is got changed.but the job is success.

Thanks.

This can happen if you specify software compression in your backup job. For example, if you back up a resource that is 8GB (uncompressed) and it is compressed to 6GB, then your backup job will report 8GB and your duplicate job will report 6GB.  This is because the duplicate job only transfers 6GB of data to tape.

...that shouldn't change the size of your backup jobs, but you might want to open up BEutility and run a BEDB repair just in case...

Check your media again.  The alert is the result of having no overwriteable media.  The media must be overwriteable BEFORE the job starts.
