Dear all

My backup solution was fine til last week when I created 1 new policy (Weekly Full and Daily Incremental). Yesterday on my first go for the Full Backup I get this error "e000847e - This edition of the product is not licensed for the requested operation" even though the Tape drive conatins almost the exact amount of data as previous backup (I presume that the backup is completed) Can anyone please help me resolving this issue.

I have to do Incremental Backup today and I am not sure whether it will complete succesfully.

Are your backups local or network
are you using any agents?

has it been about 60 days since you installed BackupExec?

This error generally means that you are trying to connect to a remote machine without having a remote agent serial installed on the media server

Hi Ken

The Backup is over Network
Yes we are using agents on each server

Its been longer than 3 months

I will check the Serial Keys on my media server - but the question is it was working fine until I created two New Policies for my old Backup Jobs
