- backup exec version 20.3
- vmware 6.5 and vcenter appliance
tried to map the storage LUN to the backup exec server already. can see the LUN in the backup exec server and it in offline mode.
i have an error e0009585 whenever i try to backup or restore.
1. add the vcenter to the backup exec server, when i try to run the backup, it prompt error e0009585 - unable to open a disk of the virtual machine.
2. when add vmware host to the backup exec, the backup run successful.
3. try to restore the vm from the tape library to the vm host, it also prompt this error, 0xe0009585 - unable to open a disk of the virtual machine.
4. when try restore the vm from tape library to the local disk in the backup exec server, the vm restore successful.
is anyone know what is the issue that cause this backup and restore failed ?
* i haven't activate the backup exec and vmware license, is that this issue happen because of i haven't activate vmware license?
