The default system logon on the "BE Device & Media Service" produced the error. I also tried changing it to the local domain admin. Still same error.

I need a fix.

Hello Radu Radu,
- Have you had this problem since the time you installed the device?
- Please ensure that you are ot using a raid controller card, you should be using the scsi interface.
- The deivce is not configured correctly so please ru the device manufacturer's diagnostics to check this.

The device has worked fine before. After doing a clean OS install (SBS 2003) and a Symantec Backup Exec 10.d install, it doesn't work.

I am not using a RAID controller. the Dell 122T VS80 has always been connected to a Adaptec 39160 SCSI card. It used to work just fine. No hardware changes.

Thanks.

Hello,

Is the device properly detected by Windows ?

Are there any event ids related to the device drive like 9,11,15 etc ?

Kindly update.

Regards
