I tried

Step 3) If the MSI log shows it is unable to find an MSI then make sure the Software DVD is provided and Install should work.

But the thing dosn`t work.

the other steps i will try, but i need more time - fighting with my english knowledge ;)

...if you're running an antivirus on the server in question, stop it and disable the services. Then run LiveUpdate again.

Thanks!

Hopefully you'll be okay but this hotfix broke our system whereby restore/verify from dedupe stopped working. We had to back out the hotfix and downgrade the remote agents:

I just tried workaround above:

update still needs: Symantec Backup Exec for Windows Servers.msi from CD.Rom

I started a new download of Backupexex 2012 R3 SP 1 (there seems to be now download SP2), but also thix *.msi dosn`t work.

then i found:

MSI (c) (28:00) [13:42:07:648]: SOURCEMGMT: Trying source C:\WINDOWS\Installer\1031.msi.
MSI (c) (28:00) [13:42:07:648]: Note: 1: 2203 2: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\Symantec Backup Exec for Windows Servers.msi 3: -2147287038

both files do not exist, but

c:\windows\installers\$PatchCach$\Managed\34CCF6B0EEE94AABDD2388C61E4D5\13.0.5204\
contains some files form last ?update?

Anyone has an idea?

trying to reinstall/repair SP2 or deinstalling hotfixes and SP2?

Made a complet workaround with:

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH190376

at least there where 3 *.msp files missing.

You have to look up the logs files after eacht attempt for a update 2 get new information about the next missing msp!!

Update seems to work. I will do some tests this week and report and close thread if everything works!

THX 4 help so fare!
