Hello. I’m in need of some assistants to make the best strategy to protect my server environment. My physical setup consists of 1 server (hyper-v host) and 1 backup server (The backup exec host). To storage the backup data, I’m using an NAS box for Disk2Disk backup, and I have an external Tape device connected to the Backup exec host.
On the Hyper-v server I need to protect, windows server 2008 r2 server x64 and some 2003 x86 servers. For special application on the servers, I am running MS exchange 2003, Active directory, and some ODBC databases no actual big SQL server and off course the hyper-v host itself.
To manage the backup I’m using backup exec 2010 R3 with Hyper-v and exchange agents.
To manage system recovery I have 2 licenses for Symantec System Recovery 2011 (SSR 2011), that runs on the Hyper-v host and the Backup Exec host.
Can you give any kind of backup and disaster recovery strategy?
