jobs don't append to tape

hi all,

i have serveral jobs duplication to tape daily (about 80Go)

- BE16/win2016

- media tapes are allowed to a set (4 weeks over write protaction period and infinite append period)

-The property of jobs is set to append to media, overwrite if no appendable media is available.
- The Media management under tools - options is set to partial - protect only allocated media with a tick on prompt before overwriting imported media.

- there still a lot of empty space all tapes (more than 1.5To).

but all this duplication jobs don't append and asks for another media.

You can ONLY append to the first tape used by single job (which applies to both backup or duplicate jobs), the second tape always has to be an overwrite as such are you getting these errors after some data has been duplicated (and filled the remaining space on the first tape by appending)?

Also to append the tapes have to be in the same media set as the duplicate job is configured to use - you cannot append across different media sets.
