Symantec LiveUpdate is not installed. Scheduled updates to BackuBackup Exec cannot be retrieved without LiveUpdate. You ,ust reinstall Liveupdate to schedule updates.

 

Any Help?

Uninstall LiveUpdate from Add/remove programs (If not present, ignore this step)

Install LiveUpdate from either the Backup Exec installation media or you can download LiveUpdate 3.3. from this link -

Post the installation, retry to run LiveUpdate

What would be the reason for live update to be unimmstlled suddently?

 

Live update should be reinstalled now?

Ideally, LiveUpdate does not get uninstalled automatically, unless you uninstalled any Symantec software which also used LiveUpdate (For egs., Symantec Endpoint Protection)

Another reason could be that LiveUpdate is installed, but possibly didn't install properly and maybe corrupt.

Hence, would recommend to reinstall LiveUpdate.
