To just move the catalogs, copy the contents of the Catalog directory under the BE installation directory to the Catalog directory of the new BE 2014. After the copy, restart all the BE services. If the catalogs do not appear on the console, then you need to use a command prompt and run Catrebuildindex -r

Hi Chris,

Refer to 1 of the 2 TNs below which detail how to do this, depending on whether or not you change your server name:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH67296

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH67768

if you move everything, you would then look at deleting all the jobs.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot Craig

Interesting articles, but i think it won't work because the  move will be to a different OS.

It is not clear to me  you can do it, when the servers are on a different OS ver.

Yes you can...I've done this with a move from Windows Server 2003 R2 to Windows Server 2008 R2. As such, refer to the TN below:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH129826

Thanks!

I've done this too, but my target server is a win2012 , where you can't install backupexec 2012
