...it is a public technote, no need to log on at all.
Try refreshing...sometimes the Symantec sites don't load correctly, or simply clear your browser's cache...

I had the same problem , but I had BE2012 sp2 installed.

Can you provide the event id that you get under Windows log > application ? Also check if the BE server service set under domain admin account.
When the service crashes during the backup job? Or when you start the backup job?

Event ID 1000 & 1026.
I am not sure when is service failed .
I just found BE failed when I come in office in the morning.
