"Invalid Physical Library Argument" with a Backup to Disk file

I was having a couple of issues with my Backup-to-Disk folder a few days ago, and just went ahead and deleted the entire folder, and remade it.

However, I forgot a few backup-to-disk files, and they're just sitting there in their respective media sets with an offline status. Whenever I go to drag one of these files to the retired media set I get an error that says "Invalid Physical Library Argument".

I understand I probably went about removing the backup-to-disk folder in totally the wrong way, but how do I go about getting rid of these random files that are no longer of use?

I've been googleing around, and I've read that you have to wipe out the media database? Is this the only way to do it? How do I go about doing that in the first place?

I'm using Backupexec 12.5.

Thanks :)

Not sure if an answer to this is still needed, but I've found the best way to deal with this issue is to change the media type of the B2D media to LTO (or another tape type). This way you will be able to move it to retired media.

Hi,

This is an old and dead forum query...
