"Physical Volume Library Drive not found" error message

596403118
Not applicable
This is a brand new installation of v10. Backup device is a Dell 132T with one LTO tape drive. Installation went OK and BackupExec sees and can talk with device (import and export under Robotic Libraries> Dell 1 > Slots), however, when a simple backup is attempted, the following error occurs immediately: ""Physical Volume Library Drive not found".

Am I missing something or what should I begin to check?

thanks,
David

This has been resolved. Had to download latest driver files and install. Once rebooted, it worked great!

Hi,

In addition to that, please install the service pack 1. Install Backup Exec 10,0 service pack 1 from the following link:

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/275248.htm

Please install the latest drivers from the following link:

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/273853.htm

- Update the firmware of the device.
- Update firmware of the SCSI controller.

We hope this will help.
