I'm trying to figure out whether there is an option for doing "SAN Transport" of backups - where the backup exec media server grabs data over the dedicated storage network, instead of using standard network transport of data from each VMs nic.
It's a great feature - to be able to backup vSphere VMs without trasnporting the data over the production network. I know how to do this in a SAN environment - present the LUNs that back vSphere datastores to the BackupExec media server as well - then with the SAN Transport option selected, BE just talks directly to the storage device to grab files.
Is there anyway to do something similar when the vSphere storage is NFS?
