re-installing BE12.5 Which folders contain the configuration data

Hi,

After a failure of the server here, we are now up and running on new hardware, and now need to re-install Backup exec 12.5

If I do a clean install, can i simply copy the \Data, and \Catalogs folders from old to new servers to restore all of BE's configuration ?

a) are there other stuff I need to copy
b) If it can not be done this way ( by overwriting folders ) can someone point me in the right direction of how to do it.

Many thanks in advance ( after a manic weekend getting it all back working )
Chris

Hello

Copy the data & catalogs folder to the new installation, Do not directly replace the "data"  folder.

Just perform copy database using Beutility.exe. Refer to the below link

You need to restore the last copy of BEDB.BAK to the new  server, and then use BEUTIL to "restore configuration from a file"

Also be sure to restore the Entire \Catalogs folder from your latest backup
