restore database and exchange

Hello,

Is there something to restore the exchange datafile as a file without a exchange server?
And the same for SQL2000 files.
A client had a major server crash and the new server does not have a exchange 2000 server anymore. (2003)
Ans almost the same for SQL2000, we just want the files without restoreing them direct to the SQL2000 server.

If the backup was done using the respective agents, it wont be possible to restore the data to a file.
