restore job succeed but without real restoration

Hi all,

we have backup exec 2012 on windows server 2008, and an agent on linux redhat server (database server).

i create a backup job for database, it run successfully, and then for testing restore ,i made some transactions on this database.

i create a restore job using controlfile backed up by the backup job, it run successfully too.

but the database seems not be restored.

should i perform any configuration or any thinkg in the database server for completing the restore?

1. Check the SCL below to make sure that your Linux variant is supported http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH175581 2. What is the database that you are trying to back up? Are you using a BE agent to backup this database? If not, what are the file extensions of the files that your are trying to back up? Some file extensions are automatically excluded from any backup by AFE.

the database is oracle 11.2.0.4.

yes i use BE agent to backup this database.
