restore outside mailbox

i want to restore a task from outlook/ users mailbox but not to be placed in current users mailbox? can the task from a certain date be placed in another mailbox acct?

You could try the Exchange redirection  in the restore and restore the mailbox / emails to a different Test users mailbox.

...you don't mention what version of Exchange you're using, but if you're using BE 2012, you can do a redirected restore to a *.pst. Simply copy the *.pst to the remote server and import onto the user's profile.

If using BE 2010 and back, you could duplicate to disk manually and then use a third party application like Kernel for Exchange to pull the user data out of the *.edb flat-file into a *.pst. Use this if you can't do a redirected restore to that Exchange server.
