Hi Jasen,

Have a look into VMware Converter... free, fast, easy.
http://vmware.com/products/converter/

We've done production servers with out users ever noticing a difference.  I guess it depends on your environment, but we use an ESX server.

If this is the case of moving VMDK's around, you should be able to just restore the vmdk to the server and should see that file.
Hope this helps

Hi Jasen,
Backup exec system recovery 7.0 will convert your image to a virtual hard drive file. Either vmdk or vhd. Vmware or virtual server

HP has HP Virtual Machine Management Pack which comes bundled with HP Systems Insight Manager which can do V2P, P2V, and V2V. VMware ESX has a converter which does the same thing. VMware's Converter is free to my knowledge.
If it's just data you're wanting to restore, an installation of the RAWS agent on that clean server is all that's needed to allow BEWS to communicate with it, and you're then able to restore any data you want to it.

Laters!
