scratch media

Is this possible to get data back from scratch media in backup exec 2010 R3, I need the old backup data from the scratch media.

any need full advise

Hi jafar,

Once the data has been overwritten, then it is gone for good. You can't get it back, certainly not in any way that would be affordable if it exists.

If the tape is simply part of the Scratch set and allowed to be overwritten, but still has the data on it you're looking for, then it should be possible to restore the data (assuming it doesn't show 100% free on the tape). But you'd need to Catalog the tape again.
