Is there a way to set up a global IF/THEN command in BE 2010?
When I back up laptops that have their wireless connections OFF and are hardwire connected through a cat-5 cable, they backup just fine and at a rate similar to my servers and desktops (500+ MB/min.) But I can't always heard my cats as I would like, so sometimes scheduled backups begin when the laptop user is out of his/her office and is using the wireless to connect to the network. If a backup job begins then, it does so at a much much slower rate (10 MB/min or less.)
The problem here is that if I don't catch this and cancel the job, it creates a logjam on the jobs which follow and oftentimes, jobs are skipped because they pass their sheduled time.
is there a way to goose connectivity speed when laptops are connected via wireless or - failing that - automatically canceling jobs if the connectivity rate falls below a certain threshold for too long (say, 10 minutes)?
Thanks

What you can to is to set the automatic cancellation for the selection list.
If you have the setting above, the job will cancel in 10 minutes, even if it is running o.k., i.e. not hanging.
