Hi All
I have a question about licensing a product BackupExec 2012.
We have two servers in different locations where I want to install BackupExec Media server + Hyper-V agent.
I receive one file with 2 licenses for media server and one file with 2 licenses for Hyper-V/VMWare agents .
How to install licenses on those servers.
May I use the same file on each server or need to extract license for each server somehow?
Thanks for replay
Szymon

...as long as you have the correct # of licenses corresponding to the number of servers, you can load BOTH license keys on each media server...check the TN below on how to do this:
If you got another media server in the mix you'd have to apply for new licenses...simply installing these keys on that server for example, would mean you are in breach of the licensing agreement!
Thanks!

Thank you Craig
So important for me is to have proper # of licenses corresponding to the number of servers.
Next time when I need another server licenses I will ask for one order for each server :)
But I think it should be some solution to divide (extract) those licences - for example when we'll decide to separate our company - maybe I need to ask tech support for that.
Thanks again!

Hi Szymon
You are correct when you decide to seprate your company. You need to call the licensing team who would be able provide you 2 different licences for indiviual servers

As the tech support cannot be able to divide those licences
