i am unable to backup my servers for the last few months. i have changed my hp tape drive, scsi cable, updated backup exec to 2010 R3. I even have installed backup exec 2010 R3 to a different server and still having problem in backup. when i use the trace i am getting the following logs.

It was due to a termination issue (scsi). The hardware vendor fixed it.

Run HP LT&T utility against the tape library/drive. Make sure you select the write test and that you have stopped all the BE services beforehand.
Also check that the tape drive is functioning correctly in the Windows Device Manager and has a Symantec driver.

We have run the test using HP LT&T utility. The tests were succesful.
We are able to backup to disk and backup certain files to tape. However, we are not able to backup other files.

Is the "verify" option enable for the tape backups ? As a test, if you disable verify, does the tape backup complete successfully ?
If running an apt version of Windows, are you able to backup successfully to tape using the native Windows backup utility ?
Are there any errors logged in the BE server's event viewer ?
