unable to initialize remote agent

I just installed Backup Exec Windows Server 9.1 with all patches on a Windows 2003 Server. I setup a daily backup job that backs up the local hard disk.

When the Job finishes it it shows an error:

"unable to initialize the remote agent"

There isn't any reason to be using the remote agent on the local hard disk! What could this message actually be telling me? Might I have done something wrong in the job setup that I'm not seeing?

Hello,
- Please check if your Remote agent Service is running under the local System Account on both the machines.
- Also check if the NDMP Port 10000 is open and listening on both sides.

- Check if you see any more errors in the event logs.
