v10 Advanced Open File Option license downward compatible with v9.1?

We have purchased 2 new servers and are looking at our options for backup.  Our media server is running v9.1 and we have 2 unused v10 AOFO licenses.  Does anyone know if the v10 licenses can be used on v9.1?

I've never tried it, but I highly doubt it

 

Back when Veritas owned BackupExec, you could probably have gotten a v9.1 AOFO serial if you gave them the v10 serial and an explanation

 

Symatec don't sing that song, unfortunately
