Hej

Backup Exec 2014 Sp1 on windows 2012 R2

My C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Data\VMwareTemp is filling up vith files: ixmntapix

On same server is vCenter installed

can anyone help?

Run Live updates until you are full patched at BE 2014 SP2 and the latest hotfix 227745

Creation of these files is expected behavior, however they should be clearing automatically. They are usually not cleaned up mainly due to two reasons - AV and/or lack of permissions.

Pls ensure if running any AV, it is set to exclude from scanning the BE processes and directories. The BE service account should have explicit full access to the C:\ drive.

Lastly, stop all BE services and delete the temporary files (these are actually leftover mount points). Check if the issue reoccurs or not.
