vmware backup failed

Dear All,

My environment is windows 2003, ESX 4.0 and using symantec Backup Exec 2010.

The scenario is :

a. Vmware host (exchange 2003) is down (offline backup)

b. Using exec 2010 backup vmdk file with 3 file vmdk (560 GB)

c.  Type backup is full backup and direct to tape

I found this error :

Job ended: Saturday, October 02, 2010 at 12:21:23 AM Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe00095a4 - The operation failed because the virtual center or ESX server reported a problem creating or accessing one or more files needed. Final error category: Resource Errors For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-38308

Is there anyone who finds an error like this ?

For following this solution :

SOLUTION:

According to the Backup Exec 2010 Administrators Guide (See related documents). Following are the requirements for incremental/differential backups of VMWare resources:

• Incremental or differential backups for VMWare resources are possible only if the virtual machine is configured with hardware version 7.
• The backup job that uses the incremental or differential backup method needs to be a Policy based job (or created using a Policy).

For your information : The Type backup is Full backup.

I don't know how to configure virtual machine with hardware version 7. Can you describe this solution ?

Or Any solution to fix my problem ?

I not run restore as your link, but i trying backup offline my vmware.

I  read that link as your recomendation. And we have tried too backup online vmware with same host and the result is failed.
