Earlier this week, VMware announced the availability of VMware vSphere 6.7 and I’m delighted to announce Veritas Backup Exec’s support for this update. VMware began releasing developer and beta builds a few months back, and since then the Backup Exec team has been busy working to ensure that all vSphere 6.7 backup scenarios work seamlessly with the latest Backup Exec 20.1.

If you are looking forward to the significant technical and productivity advances of vSphere 6.7, now you can deploy without waiting for backup to catch up. With more than a decade of collaboration, Veritas and VMware worked closely together to offer immediate data protection for the new hypervisor. This lets you implement vSphere 6.7 with the confidence that your data can be seamlessly protected.

Veritas and VMware will continue to collaborate to ensure customers have the backup and recovery controls necessary for both on- and off-premises deployments. The new Backup Exec Platform can transform and simplify the protection of your VMware®, physical, and cloud environments, and provide the performance and agentless recovery to achieve near 100% backup and recovery success rates.

We hope you are as excited as we are, and we look forward to continue delivering support for those things which make your job easier.
