DRO provides disaster recovery between your on-premise applications and a cloud-based DR target, achieving substantially lower costs and ensuring the integrity of more stringent SLA’s around business recovery time and point objectives (RTO, RPO).
The Beta version of DRO 6.1 focuses on:
- Application-based replication and automated, orchestrated recovery between your premise and Microsoft Windows Azure, including takeover and failback.
- On-premise compute independence: protect applications running in physical or in virtual environments.
- In-Windows Azure Fire Drill to provide non-disruptive recoverability confidence DR testing.
- In-Azure management portal providing simplified deployment and DR management experience as well as basic DR reporting.
