i will describe a specific Problem i had with a german Exchange Server Installation and BE2010
Environment:
Backup Server: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard German with Backup Exec 2010
Exchange Server: Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard German, Exchange 2007
The Backup Exec Remote Agent was upgraded from 12.5 with a push installation.
Exchange GRT Backup always reported Back that the CDO is too old or not installed.
"V-79-57344-4615 - To support individual mailbox message and folder restores from Information Store b..."
After lot of research and try and error i found out following.
The installation was done into the path c:\Programme\Symantec\...
But the path in the registry was the default english path c:\program files\symantec\ ...
I have fixed it with a find and replace in the registry.
searched for c:\program files\symantec
and replaced with c:\programme\symantec
I hope that this help other people with similar Problems.
There is also kb around which describes not the same but a comparable setup bug.

English error messages help alot on the hotline and on the problem research with our favorite troubleshooting tool. (google)
I even noticed that i sometimes gets error messages which are more detailed.
