Symantec's new release of Symantec Operations Readiness Tool (SORT) is synchronized with the release of NetBackup 7.5 and Storage Foundation’s release of DMP for VMWare. With SORT’s focus of improving the total customer experience for NetBackup and Storage Foundation customers, we’ve added the following features and improvements to the website:
- A platform perspective approach to obtaining product information in SORT
- Support for OpsCenter in NetBackup custom reports
- The ability to navigate to key SORT resources from the product matrix page (https://sort.symantec.com/productmatrix)
- A one-click step to continuing searches in SymWISE (https://sort.symantec.com/search?q=licensing%20tier%20sheet)
- Support for DMP on VMWare in the SPVU calculator (https://sort.symantec.com/spvu_calc)
- New risk assessment checks
- The ability to view most downloaded patches and most recent patches in the past 30, 60, and 90 days
- Optimize the data collectors based on product family (SF and NetBackup)
- Check for the latest DDI support in Windows data collector
- Allow single run of the Windows data collector to produce multiple reports
- Optimize the SORT website for search engine searchability
- Officially support for Chrome (in addition to IE and Firefox)
- Updated online help
