Confirmation that IMF is used for Offline Monitor

The VCS Admin guide says:
The Intelligent Monitoring Framework (IMF) notification module hooks into
system calls and other kernel interfaces of the operating system to get notifications
on various events such as when a process starts or dies, or when a block device
gets mounted or unmounted from a mount point.

So I assume if IMF know when resources online as well as fault, then IMF is used for the offline monitor - can someone confirm this.

Thanks

Mike

Thanks.

I'm guessing that there is no real reason to change and agent from Mode 3 to Mode 2 (use online monitoring only) and where an agent has default of Mode 2, like CVMVxconfigd, this in reality means mode 3 is not available - is this correct.

Mike and Dan,

Also, do not forget the ProPCV attribute.

When combined with IMF in the application agent, it would prevent applications from coming online on offline nodes.
