Error while running the wizard Exchange Server Setup Wizard (I also ran the Domain prep and Forest prep). See the snap below for reference:

Hi Zahid,

I have seen this message a few times and I know that this is a really basic question so please forgive me for what I'm about to ask.

Are you logged onto the computer with a domain account or a local user account?

The reason that I ask is that this message will be displayed if you are logged in with a local user account and the wizard is not able to validate the domain.

This case be checked by opening a command prompt and running "whoami".  The response is <computer name>\<user name> then you are not logged into the domain.

Hello Wally. I logged in as a domain admin.  See the below snap for your reference too in which I ran the whoami command

Second when the failed wizard finish it shows the logs. See the logs for reference:

Hi Zahid,

From the log snipet that you provided you are getting error 1355 when trying to get the name of a Domain Controller.

C:\>net helpmsg 1355

The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

You might want to run dcdiag.exe utility from Microsoft to see if there are problems with your server communicating with your domain.

May you plz help me in doing this ?

I ran dxdiag but I did not found any information regarding troubleshoot the domain and host communication. Second thing the same host on which I am running the exchange setup wizard is also a Domain Controller.

Hi Zahid,

Ok.  I understand now.  Exchange cannot be clustered on domain controllers.  During the process of virtualizing Exchange the active computer name gets changed from the physical node name to the virtual exchange server name.  This process causes domain controller funtions to stop working and explains why you are not able to communicate with the domain controller running on the same server.

Exchange must be installed on member servers.  You will need to reconfigure your exchange cluster to not include domain controllers for this setup to work correctly.
