Hi all,

Have you anybody really experience with using Veritas Cluster File System for CommVault Gridstor - (deduplication store on cluster filesystem) ? We have not confirm the compatibility support for VCFS and Gridstor

Hi Petr,

What sort of experience you're looking for? The CommVault dedupe architecture requires external file system to provide clustering features, hence the requirement for CFS. I would also highlight it is an option primarily for Linux-based Media Agents.

Otherwise your most time consuming task would be to set up and support CommVault's Media Agent: once installed and configured CFS does not require much attention.

Hi Mouse,

excuse me for delay, I forgot answer that VCFS is supported for CV Media Linux servers. The reason was replaced not supported GPFS2 by CFS and I was lookup for experience (stabiltity, performance).  In the moment we are testing NFS share solution with managed replication of CV.
