How can I rename my print resources?

PrintCluster
Level 2

Hy

I use the Veritas Storage Foundation HA 5.1 for Windows and in this system's running a print cluster.

When I add a new resource (printer) to the PrintShare, become an automatically comment/description name to the shared printer, BUT I want to use another name for it.

If I modify a key in registry, get an error message, like when I try to modify the printer properties... How can I do that? Should I doing something in the cluster?

Thanks the answers...

Hi,

I got this feedback from one of my SFW/HA colleagues:

"VCS uses a comment of something like ‘~VCS:<resource_name>’ to determine that the printshare was created by VCS.  This is hard coded into the Printshare agent and cannot be changed that I’m aware of. You should be able to make other changes to the properties and not get an error."

Please open a support case if the problems modifying printshare properties remains.

Thanks

Manuel
