Dear All;

We have one 4 Node VCS 5.0 Cluster with 4 Oracle DB Instances and one 2 node VCS 5.0 Cluster with one Oracle DB Instance.Logical IP's for the clusters which is linked to Listene is configured.

We have a saperate backup network which is under 192.168.x.x network and the public Networ is under 172.21.x.x.

We need to configure the Database backup for the instance which is under cluster through Veritas Netbackup and Networker.

Can anyone tell how we can configure a backup IP resource which should be Highly available with the Database.
Note:Due to performance issue i cannot use the Logical Ip of Database to backup,because of this issue we have dedicated backup network.
Thanks in advance.

Best Regards;

If you need to have a second IP address failover along with the Oracle instance, that's no problem...just configure a second IP resource within the same service group managing the Oracle instance.  Assuming the backup network IP is bound to a separate NIC, you can configure another NIC resource for that, as well.
