I have just installed cluster services on a windows 2003 server in a lab. I have added the MSDTC (distributed Transaction Coordinator in the default cluster group. I have no problems bringing the resource online right after i create it. However, after i install windows 2003 service pack 1 i can no longer bring the MSDTC resource online. I cant fingure out why i cant bring it online please help!!
Is this an SFWHA cluster or an MSCS cluster? 4.2 will not officially support SP1 until mid to late July so there may be a compatiblity issue but not likely.
Can you start the service in the Control Panel, outside of SFWHA control?
