Specify a User with MirrorView Agent on SFWHA 5.1SP1

Hi There,

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to specify a user when using the MirrorView agent and naviseccli with SFWHA 5.1SP1? When running the addArrayUser action I've tried specifying "-user username", but it is not acceptable by the action.

Modifying the addArrayUser.pl file and specifying "-user username" in the command string that adds the security file does work, but is not a really acceptable solution.

Cheers....

Hi Mark,

Apologies for the long delay in responding. With the MirrorView agent, you cannot specify a different user. The MirrorView agent uses the "system" user account and you can specifiy a password for the MirrorView agent to use. The instructions to add the password are below:

Run the AddArrayUser action from VCS

          a. Right click the mirrorview resource and select Actions.
          b. From the list of actions, select addArrayUser.
          c. Select the system on which to execute the action.
          d. From the list of action arguments, click the plus button to add a new argument.
          e. Type in a non-blank password for the system user to use.

Note: Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each node in the cluster.

Please let me know if this answers your question at your earliest convenience.
