If you start at http://www.symantec.com/business/products/utilities.jsp?pcid=1019&pvid=20_1

then you can download the VCS simulator by following the "Veritas Cluster Server Java Console, Veritas Cluster Server Simulator, Veritas Enterprise Administra..." link.

The simulator is a smallish program (I think about 60MB) which lets you simulator of any number of nodes on any supported platform (Windows, Linux and UNIX variants) - note this does not use virtual server technology.

Also at the first link, you can follow other links to find out information about VCS, such as the "Features" and "Data Sheets" links.  You can also download the full product by clicking on the "Trailware" which you could install on a virtual server (using VMWare for example) and use ALL the features of the product for 60 days.  You can download the full documentation from https://sort.symantec.com/welcome/download.

Akhil,

To clear up your concepts ...you can start using docs as well ..

https://sort.symantec.com/documents

just select your OS & version you are interested (5.1 is latest major version) & you should see all the guides available there ... VCS users guide or VCS Admin guide should be the stuff you are looking for ..

For e.g for solaris:

https://sort.symantec.com/documents/doc_details/sfha/5.1%20SP1/Solaris/ProductGuides/

Hope this helps..

Hi,

If you are begineer first go thorugh Admin guide to clear your basic concept. If your basic is clear then its very easy to configure Cluster.

https://sort.symantec.com/welcome/download.

Then create two Test VM and create VCS in between this two machine.
