Windows FileShare Question

Hi,

I'm trying to setup a FileShare on Windows2008 and trying to set the "sharename" Attribute in fileshare. We can give any name for sharename right? And then we can access the foldes as below right? 

 

\\virtualname\sharename\

Hi Mokkan,

The ShareName attribute can be set to any valid windows share name that is not already in use.  It does not have to match the folder name that is being shared.  Then when the service group is brought online after making the change, you should be able to access the share with the UNC that you provided.
