Hi All,
I am have 300 odd filers to add to the system and I need to install agents as well. I have managed to add the filers via the bulk script but the agents are not being installed and the automatic scan share is not being enabled.
When I go back and look at the filers manually i notice that that the agents are not listed but they have been uploaded. Not sure what the porblem is here. Any advise or help would be apprecieated.

Checking in your .varfile will likely lead you to the answer. I am assuming you uploaded a correwctly formatted .csv file to the server.
We just completed the same thing and had an issue using an old version formatted varfile until we started with the default one for the intended install version and modified it.
Perhaps post this file and the frist coupl eof lines of your csv file for assistance.

Servermane, DIServer.locall , DIServer.local , Admin.locl , TRUE , DIServer.local, Admin.locl , true , true , TRUE , *$ , TRUE , RP , Veritas_DataInsight_windows_winnas_6_1_0_9855_x64.zip ,
Not sure if this is the correct for the bulk filer. Is there a detailed explanation on what each value means in the file?

I do not believe the spaces matter but the names do and the matching has to be exact. Each column has a corresponding value:
# CSV format is as follows
# <Filer name>, <Collector Name>, <Indexer Name>, <Filer Credential>, <IS Clustered>, <Agents>, <Scanning Credentials>, <Enable Scanning>, <Enable Audit>, <Auto Share Discover>, <Exclude Share Pattern>, <Add New Shares>, <Upgrade Type>, <Installer Name>,
Filer1.domain.com,Collector1.domain.com,Indexer1.domain.com,AdminUser@domain,FALSE,Filer1.domain.com,AdminUser@domain,true,true,FALSE,*$,FALSE,RP,Veritas_DataInsight_windows_6_1_0_9855_x64.exe
use the binary name (.exe) and not the zip file

did you resolve your issue @Rdosramos?
I had to create scripts for the upgrade to 6.3x and overcame some of the same problems you mentioned.
PM if still looking. Pix
