DLO does not report "last backup" and "last backup status"

Hi,

We have numerous clients running DLO (Build 346B06a), where the backup has run successfully, but it does not report back the "Last backup" and "Last Backup Status". I have read other forums stating that a uninstall of DLO agent, cleanup of user and computers container does the trick, but it doesn't?

Any ideas would be appreciated?

Thanks

As per our investigation the behavior might be due to setting done for the option “Minimum Time between History Updates”. Following are details on how the option “Minimum Time Between History Updates” works and how to change the behavior:

  1. Consider option “Minimum Time between History Updates” is set to 3 minutes from Tools->Options-> Desktop Agent Intervals
  2.  Now if  the first backup runs at 10.00 AM, then the update to the database will happen immediately. The report generated  now will show backup updates taken at 10.00 AM.
  3.  If second backup runs between 10.00 AM to 10.03 AM, then the database will not be updated immediately unless the time difference between the current time and previous update is more than 3 mins. Hence the report which is generated before 10.03 AM will show the backup status which was updated at 10.00 AM.
  4. If the next backup happens after 3 minutes, the database will be updated and report generated after 10.03 AM will contain the correct status.

If all updates are needed then this setting should be changed to 0 minutes but it may impact server performance.

Our Recommendation:

Set this value to 3-5 minutes so that status is updated more frequently and performance is also not compromised.

Thanks
