...have you checked to make sure that the account isn't perhaps locked out?
Thanks!

How can an account be locked out when i use the account to log in to the server

Well, that was information you've literally just shared! Nowhere else does it state that the account being used for DLO is being used to log onto the server. Hence there is no way I could know...
try a repair of DLO itself, and if this doesn't work, I'd suggest logging a call with Symantec around this. If you have to log the call with Symantec, and they assist you in finding a solution, please post back with that information.
Thanks!

At the site before my installation, an account was created for me with an admin right and that is what i used to log on to the server.............this issue was noticed when i upgraded yesterday to version 7.6.......
could you please help me on how to log a case to symantec for support?

but the credentials that we have been using at the site has full admin right

DLO will have a service account for the services. Logging onto a server with a domain admin account might not be enough to run those services.
